Manahawkin Methodist Preschool is a non-profit school established as a mission outreach for the community.  Our purpose is to help young children to become intellectually aware, emotionally secure, and socially adjusted in a safe and pleasant environment.  It is the philosophy of the school to expose the children to basic religious concepts in an age appropriate manner.  Our children are encouraged to realize they are loved and precious to God.  For more information on the school please contact our Preschool Director, Kelly Steinberg at 609-597-0407.

‘Give Kids a Smile’

Each year on the first Friday in February, thousands of the nation’s dentists and their dental team members provide free oral health care services to children from low-income families across the country.

The Letter ‘C’

Chorizo and Cheese

The full day Pre k students continue their journey through the alphabet.  Today they had a special visitor from one of our pre K parents whose family is from Colombia. And in honor of Mr. C, Ms. Frusco visited the children and talked to them about the country of Colombia, her daughter also attended dressed in her cheerleader uniform as another example of word that start with C. The children then had an opportunity to try Colombian soda, chorizo(Colombian sausage) and cheeses. One student ate 10 pieces of the chorizo! Mrs. Mower extended lesson by having the children create Colombian flags using tissue paper, scissors and glue sticks.  Look for them in the hallway and display class in the lobby. It was a memorable day for our Pre K class and we really appreciate Ms. Frusco taking the time to share about her family heritage.
